Terms of service

These terms cover your use of QuipShip, the hosted email service at quipship.com, operated by [legal name and address to be added]. By creating an account you agree to them.

The service

QuipShip provides email on your own domain: mailboxes, webmail, access from mail apps over IMAP and SMTP, contacts, aliases, and tools to import mail and contacts from another provider.

Your account

  • Creating an account does not start a charge; each mailbox you add is billed monthly.
  • Every account uses two-factor authentication. Keep your password and second factor safe.
  • You are responsible for what happens in your account and its mailboxes.

Your domains

You may only connect domains you own or are allowed to manage. You stay in control of your domain and its DNS records; the app shows you which records to add.

Prices and billing

  • Each mailbox costs $2.95 per month and includes 25 GB of storage.
  • Extra storage costs $1 per month for 20 GB, per mailbox.
  • You are billed monthly, in US dollars, by card through Stripe.
  • You can add or remove mailboxes at any time. Deleting a mailbox ends its charge.

Acceptable use

Do not use QuipShip to:

  • send spam or unsolicited bulk mail;
  • send malware, phishing or other mail meant to deceive;
  • break the law or infringe the rights of others;
  • try to access accounts or systems that are not yours.

We may suspend or close an account that does.

Your content

Your mail and contacts belong to you. We store and process them only to run the service. We do not sell or share your mail data, and we do not use it for advertising or profiling.

Ending the service

You can delete mailboxes or your account at any time. When you delete a mailbox, its contents are deleted. We may close accounts that break these terms.

Availability and liability

We work to keep QuipShip running and your mail safe, but the service is provided as it is, without a promise that it will always be available or free of errors. [Limitation of liability to be drafted.]

If we change these terms, we will post the new version on this page and update the date at the top.
